The original FireStik KW antenna features a custom-blended, fiberglass-reinforced shaft for durability and consistent performance. Designed for 27 MHz CB radios, this antenna is also N.O.A.A. weather channel ready, making it a dependable choice for both communication and weather monitoring.
Each antenna is 5/8 wave rated for optimal performance and available in multiple lengths to match your power needs:

Important: Antenna Tuning Required
Proper tuning is essential to achieve the correct SWR (Standing Wave Ratio) for your CB radio. Skipping this step can reduce performance and potentially damage your equipment. Always use a quality SWR meter for accurate results.

Basic Tuning Overview:

If your SWR indicates the antenna needs to be shortened:

Remove the antenna cap.

Carefully trim back the plastic coating at the tip to expose the copper wound wire.

Cut the wire in small increments (about 1/8" at a time).

Replace the cap and recheck SWR.

Repeat until optimal readings are achieved.

If your SWR indicates the antenna needs to be lengthened:

Add an antenna spring, or
-
Consider switching to a longer section of coax cable.

Take the time to tune it properly — your signal clarity and radio performance depend on it.
