PREMIUM CUT OFF WHEEL 4-1/2 X .045 X 7/8 TYPE 27 

This is our PREMIUM 4-1/2" x .045" x 7/8" Type 27 cut off wheel that is perfect for metal fabricators. They provide 10X the life compared to normal, generic cut-off wheels and are iron-free. These are cool cutting & long life wheels. These cut off wheels provide a smooth cut and are less flexibility. Cut off wheels are the primary tool for cutting sheet metal, structural steel, thinner rebar, iron pipes & bar stock. These can be used on both stainless steel, steel & cast iron metals. These are made for 4-1/2" angle grinders. 

WHAT IS THE MAX RPM I CAN RUN THIS CUT OFF WHEEL? 

You can run these cut off wheels at a MAX RPM of 13,300 RPM. 

WHAT DO YOU USE CUT OFF WHEELS FOR ? 

Cut off wheels are used for cutting sheet metal, structural steel, rebar, iron pipes & bar stock on metals such as stainless steel, steel & cast iron metals. 

WHAT DOES TYPE 27 CUT OFF WHEEL MEAN?

Type 27 cut off wheels are referred to as depressed center cut off wheels and are shaped like a flying saucer with a depressed center in the middle. They also have a thicker cross-section at the center and thinner edges. They are not as common as Type 1, however these are still very popular. These need an appropriate depressed center back flange.
