Your Triton V8 was built to work. Whether you're towing a trailer, hauling lumber, or just daily-driving an old reliable Ford, the factory intake is holding it back. That plastic snorkel and restrictive paper filter were designed for noise compliance, not for the 4.6L or 5.4L Triton to breathe.
Flashark's 3.5" cold air intake replaces the factory plumbing with a mandrel-bent 89mm aluminum tube — black powder-coated for a clean, factory-like look that won't show dirt after a decade of use. The dual steel heat shields isolate the filter from the engine bay, pulling cooler air from the fender well. Intake temps drop 15–25°F, which on a naturally aspirated V8 means more consistent throttle response and improved low-RPM torque — right where you tow and haul.
The dry, reusable cone filter needs no oil. Clean it with soap and water, let it dry, and reinstall. No MAF contamination, no check engine light, no idle hunting. The CNC-machined MAF housing is calibrated to match the factory Triton ECU, so your truck runs exactly as Ford intended — just with more airflow and a deeper V8 growl under throttle.
Installation is about 60 minutes with basic hand tools. Every bracket, coupler, breather hose, and clamp is in the box.
