Core Return Policy - 30 Days

When you receive your steering gear, it will include a copy of your invoice and a core ID tag attached to the outside of the shipping box. This bright green tag must be returned with your core, as it contains critical information that ensures your core charge is refunded promptly.

If the tag is lost, please include a note with the following details:

• Invoice number

• Your name

• Your phone number This ensures we can credit your core charge back to you. Without this information, you may not receive your refund.

Please note:

• Green tag needs to be returned with core or there will be no core credit.
• Core returns after 30 days will be refunded at 50% of the original core charge.
• Cores returned after 180 days will not be refunded.
• Cores that are not OEM or identical to the gearbox we sent will only be refunded at 25%. For example, if your core charge was $200, you'll receive only a $50 credit.

The reason for this policy is that returning the wrong core forces us to purchase another core, disrupting our ability to continue providing quality steering products. We appreciate your understanding.

How to Identify an Aftermarket Gearbox

Here are some key differences to look out for:

1. Top Cover: The OEM gearbox has 4 bolts on the cover, while aftermarket gears typically have 6 bolts.

2. Adjustment Screw: Aftermarket gears usually have a flat-blade screwdriver slot, while OEM gears have an Allen wrench hexagonal hole for adjusting the screw.

3. Valve Housing Depressions: OEM Ford valve housings have two distinct depression rings, while aftermarket housings typically have one.

4. Input Shaft Torsion Bar Stud: OEM input shafts have a visible torsion bar stud sticking out approximately 1/4". Aftermarket shafts usually do not have this feature.

Packaging and Shipping Your Core

Please make sure to package your core securely to avoid damage during shipping. Damaged or non-repairable cores will be prorated, and the refund will be reduced accordingly. For example, broken or cracked output/input shafts may result in a 50% core charge credit.

Important Notes for Your Power Steering System

We’ve also included a flushing and bleeding tag with your steering gear. Please refer to these instructions carefully to ensure your power steering system is properly flushed. Failure to flush your system correctly will void the warranty.

Don’t forget to include the green core return tag with your core when returning it!
