The GM 97209343 Glow Plug Rail for your 2001-2004 GM 6.6L Duramax LB7 is a common failure item. On the federal emission LB7 engines, the glow plugs are connected by the glow plug rail which looks like a thin bracket. Because of its location on the engine, the glow plug rail is susceptible to corrosion and heat causing the rail to be damaged over time. Inspect frequently and replace if damaged to ensure proper operation of glow plugs.
