Description
Sky's Offroad Design Super Duty Spring Swap Shackle Reversal Kit
Fits:
-
1992–1997 Ford F-350 (Solid Axle)
-
Designed to work with 1999–2004 Super Duty 4x4 front leaf springs
-
Compatible with 85–97 F-350 Dana 60 (36.5" pin center) or 99–04 Dana 50/60 (37.5" pin center)
🛠 Why Upgrade?
This kit relocates the front shackle to the rear of the spring, drastically improving ride quality by mimicking Super Duty suspension geometry. It also eliminates the weak stock front shackle design and allows the use of modern V-code or X-code leaf springs—recognized as one of the best riding spring setups available for leaf-sprung trucks.
📦 Features:
-
Converts to a rear shackle setup for better ride comfort
-
Accepts 99–04 Super Duty front leaf springs
-
Compatible with both Dana 60 spring pin spacings (36.5" and 37.5")
-
Clearance for intercooler setups
-
Powder-coated brackets for longevity
-
Lift heights based on spring type:
-
V-code (43-814): ~2" lift
-
X-code (43-818): ~3.5" lift
-
🔧 Installation Notes:
-
Sway bar may need to be deleted or use 3" sway bar end link extensions
-
Cheap foreign-made springs are not recommended—they often interfere with shackle brackets due to oversized military wraps
-
Spring bushings and isolators must be in good condition for proper fit
-
Frame horns may need to be pulled in if spread; minor hole alignment trimming may be required
-
When using lift springs, drill one hole, test shackle angle, then drill remaining holes
-
Alignment required after installation
