Prevent premature head gasket failure on big power engines with industry leading cylinder head stud kits!

ARP2000 alloy steel is heat-treated at a higher level, producing far superior strength material than 8740 despite sharing similar characteristics. ARP2000 can achieve a clamp load at 220,000 psi, reduce stress corrosion and hydrogen embrittlement, and thus is used widely in short track and drag racing applications as an upgrade from 8740 chromoly. Because ARP studs are manufactured to such exacting tolerances, you will note that gaskets and cylinder heads literally glide into position and are perfectly

aligned – something that won’t happen with inferior quality head studs.

ARP2000 alloy typically exceeds the clamping force of ~2mm larger 8470 chromoly fastener in a smaller package. For the XP Turbo/Pro XP engine where there is not much material in the block to enlarge the stud significantly, these 11mm ARP2000 studs are the ideal solution.

• The 11mm (stock) OD is the ideal size to maximize clamping force without sacrificing block integrity
• Made from ARP2000 alloy that has superior fatigue cycle life, tensile strength and toughness and is rated to 220,000 psi tensile strength. For comparison, a typical 8470 chromoly stud is roughly 170,000 psi.
• Machined ball end allows the stud to bottom out in the case without losing any thread engagement.
