Description

This Intercooler package will add power by simply keeping the charge temps down. The stock intercooler is fine for a few seconds until it heat soaks, then the power will decline rapidly. This kit includes powder-coated mandrel bent aluminum charge tubes, silicone couplers, stainless T-Bolt clamps, and of course the custom front mount intercooler itself. This kit will replace your stock charge pipes and intercooler.

We now offer our intercooler kit in two versions.

Standard: This is our standard intercooler package that includes the charge pipes, intercooler, and all needed couplers and t-bolt clamps. This version does not require PCM tuning.

Larger Throttle Body Kit: This the standard intercooler package plus our Sonic larger throttle body kit. You can read about the larger throttle body kit here. The larger throttle body does not require tuning, however a tune is still advised PCM tuning or PCM update.

Stock core dimensions:

24" x 5 1/8" x 2 1/2"

ZZP core dimensions:

23" x 6" x 4"

This package fits all trim level Sonic's from 2012 to 2016, 2017+ cars may require some trimming of plastics but otherwise will fit. Product update 6.1.2021: Kit updated with new charge pipes. Now fits RS models with no trimming.

Adds 10+ horsepower, but more over time at WOT because it will not heat soak like the stock intercooler will.

Update note: As of September 2022 we are now including our ZZP stencil with all heat exchangers and intercoolers. This way you can choose to leave the intercooler blank, or spray paint the ZZP logo with your choice of color to match your build. If you'd like to purchase a ZZP stencil for your intercooler or heat exchanger they can be found here.
