Description
The K24A2 in your 2004–2008 Acura TSX is one of Honda's finest four-cylinders — 200 horsepower, i-VTEC on both intake and exhaust cams, and a willingness to rev that puts most modern engines to shame. But from the factory, it breathes through a plastic airbox filled with resonator chambers and a restrictive panel filter designed to keep things quiet. The engine is capable of more — it just needs the air to get there.
Flashark's cold air intake kit replaces the entire factory intake assembly with a Φ76mm (3-inch) mandrel-bent aluminum pipe flowing into a high-flow dry cone filter. The pipe features dual integrated breather nozzles to retain the factory PCV and vacuum line connections exactly as Acura designed them — no check engine light, no deleted emissions plumbing. A Φ76→Φ70mm reducer coupler ensures a tight, leak-free fit at the throttle body. The result is sharper throttle tip-in, stronger mid-range pull where the K24 does its best work, and that unmistakable i-VTEC induction roar when the second cam lobe kicks in.
Installation is genuinely bolt-on: the integrated bracket lines up with factory mounting holes, all hardware is included down to the anti-vibration mount, and the job takes 45–75 minutes with basic hand tools. The dry filter requires no oiling — periodic cleaning with compressed air keeps it flowing for years. This isn't a universal kit with adapters and zip ties. It's purpose-built for the TSX.
