Description
Description
The B18C1 in the 1994–2001 Integra GS-R is one of Honda's most celebrated engines — 170 horsepower, 8,100 RPM redline, and the iconic dual-stage VTEC crossover that still puts a smile on faces decades later. But the factory intake system was designed for a commuter car, not an enthusiast's machine. The restrictive airbox, ribbed rubber plumbing, and resonator chambers smooth out the very induction sound and throttle sharpness that make the B18C1 special.
Flashark's cold air intake replaces the entire factory intake tract with a mandrel-bent, black powder-coated aluminum pipe, a high-flow, washable, dry conical filter, and a heat shield. The result: 3–7 WHP on a stock B18C1, measurably sharper throttle response from 3,500 RPM up, and — most importantly — the deep, aggressive induction growl that finally lets you hear VTEC engage. The crossover at 4,400 RPM becomes an event you can feel and hear, not just read about on a spec sheet.
Installation is bolt-on using the Integra's factory mounting points — no cutting, no welding, no permanent modification. Budget 60–90 minutes with basic hand tools. The factory P72 ECU adapts to moderate airflow changes, so no tune is required for bolt-on use. If you're running headers, cams, or a ported intake manifold, a professional tune will unlock the full potential of the increased airflow.
Key Features
Mandrel-Bent Black Powder-Coated Aluminum Intake Tube — Durable aluminum piping with black powder-coated finish for heat resistance and corrosion protection. A larger, smoother inner diameter replaces the restrictive factory-ribbed rubber plumbing to reduce airflow turbulence.
High-Flow Washable Dry Conical Filter — Red cone filter, washable and reusable. Dry design eliminates the risk of MAP/IAT sensor contamination — no filter oil means no sensor fouling. Designed for high airflow capacity while maintaining filtration efficiency.
Complete Hardware Kit — Includes all silicone couplers, stainless steel clamps, vent hoses, mounting brackets, and fasteners. Everything needed for installation is in the box.
Bolt-On Installation — Uses factory mounting points on the DC2/DC4 Integra chassis. No cutting, welding, or permanent modification required.
No Check Engine Light — Designed to maintain correct sensor positioning and crankcase ventilation routing on the B18C1. No CEL when installed correctly.
VTEC Induction Sound — The most immediately noticeable upgrade: a deep, aggressive intake growl that intensifies at the 4,400 RPM VTEC crossover and continues building to the 8,100 RPM redline. Finally, your GS-R sounds as good as it drives.
