4.5 Inch Lift Kit Jeep Cherokee XJ 84-01 Dana 35 NX2 Nitro

BDS steps up the performance and capability of the Jeep Cherokee XJ with a 4.5-inch suspension lift kit. Designed to improve stance this kit includes everything necessary to set your truck up right with clearance for up to 32 inch Tires at an affordable price.

The lift kit includes front BDS Pro-Ride Coil Springs, a heavy duty adjustable front track bar that is utilized to recenter the front axle, bump stop extensions, stainless braided brake lines, sway bar quick disconnects to unlock the front suspension's potential to flex while maintaining quiet on road operation, and heavy duty front upper and lower adjustable control arms.

The rear kit utilizes Glide-Ride leaf springs for maximum travel, stainless braided brake line, and extended shackles that let the spring flex. Finish of the kit with your choice of specially tuned NX2 nitro series gas shocks or FOX 2.0 Internal Floating Piston performance series gas shocks to offer improved damper performance.

Pro-Ride Coil Springs

A pair of full-length, gas-specific, Pro-Ride coil springs are supplied to provide the correct lift height and smooth, predictable ride across various terrains. Manufactured from high tensile steel, our direct OE replacement coil springs are engineered with properly sized wire diameter. This results in maximum reliability without premature coil bind.

Glide-Ride Leaf Springs

Built to outperform, BDS engineered the Glide-Ride leaf springs into a multi-leaf progressive spring rate design that provides a smooth ride with any load. This is accomplished with an exclusive triple-stage leaf spring design. Upgrading to BDS Glide-Ride leaf springs will provide flexibility throughout the suspension cycle.

1. Measure the rear u-bolts before ordering. Some XJ's are equipped with a Dana 44 rear axle.
2. CV style rear driveshaft (not included) and slip yoke eliminator kit is required.

Rear Axle Option Dana 35

The Jeep Cherokee was produced with two different rear axles (Chrysler 8.25 or Dana 35). You will need to measure your rear u-bolts to ensure that you get the correct new u-bolts.

Basically, just measure the diameter of the axle or the I.D. of your rear u-bolts. Chrysler axles require 3 inch wide u-bolts and Dana 35 axles require 2-3/4 inch wide u-bolts. Some 1987-90 models came with a Dana 44. Measure and call BDS for proper u-bolt fitment.
