Description
2007.5-2018 Cummins 6.7L Hamilton Cams Fire Ring Gasket .046" (07-g-6.7)
Achieve a robust, leak-free seal in your 6.7L Cummins with our Fire Ring Gasket, designed to endure high boost pressures and horsepower levels. This gasket’s .046″ thickness (1.25 mm) and 4.560″ wire diameter (.105″ wire) offer enhanced stability for high-performance builds, ensuring reliable operation under extreme conditions.
Gasket & Groove Specifications
- Thickness: .046″ (1.25 mm)
- Wire O.D.: 4.560″
- Groove depth
- .039″–.040″ if cutting grooves in only one (head or block) with a .120″ radius cutter
Installation Guidelines
1. Surface Preparation
- For the best seal, have your head and block machined for flatness before installation.
- Engines Under 800 HP: Cutting grooves in either the head or the block
- Engines Over 800 HP: be sure to run a high tensile fastener like the ARP 625
- A radiused cutter is strongly recommended for all groove work.
2. Studs Are a Must
- Our competition gasket requires studs to achieve the clamp load needed for higher horsepower.
- Lubrication: Apply a generous amount of lube on the nut, washer, and threads to ensure even torque across all fasteners.
- Never exceed manufacturer torque limits—fasteners store substantial potential energy at full torque.
3. Torque Procedure
- Initial Torque: Aim for 130 ft-lb on initial startup.
- Hot Retorque: After reaching operating temperature, retorque while the engine is still warm.
- Check Valve Lash: Retorquing compresses the gasket further, reducing valve lash. Readjust as needed.
- Final Check: Retorque at least once more before subjecting the engine to full load or high RPM.
Why Choose Our Fire Ring Gasket?
- High-Performance Sealing for extreme horsepower and boost levels.
- Reliable Design that maximizes clamp load and minimizes the risk of head-gasket failure.
- Precision Machined to ensure a perfect fit and consistent performance.
- Backed by Expertise: Engineered and tested by Hamilton, your trusted name in diesel performance.
