⚡ High-Voltage / High-Current IDM Upgrade
This isn't just a rebuild — it's a performance enhancement.
In addition to our standard rebuild process, our High-Voltage High-Current IDM units receive two key modifications:
-
Voltage Increase: Injector voltage is boosted from 110V to 140V
-
Current Increase: Output current is increased by 20%
💥 What This Means for Your Truck:
-
Faster injector activation
-
Stronger and longer poppet valve engagement
-
Snappier throttle response
-
Smoother and more responsive acceleration
🧪 Tested. Proven. Trusted.
Each unit undergoes:
-
A 20-point test on our custom-built test bench
-
A 30-minute stress test at 3000 RPM & 3.0ms injector pulse width
(More extreme than any real-world driving scenario)
We’ve been doing high-voltage mods since 2004, and we invented the high-current mod in 2008.
Over thousands of units, we’ve seen zero negative effects on IDMs or injectors.
⚠️ Emissions Note – P1298 Code
Occasionally, a modified IDM may show a P1298 code. This is a false diagnostic code that:
-
❌ Does not affect truck performance
-
❌ Does not trigger the Check Engine Light
-
✅ Is harmless in everyday driving
However: It can cause a failure during emissions testing in certain regions. Please keep this in mind if emissions compliance is a concern in your area.
If you have any questions about the process or need help, feel free to contact our team — we're here to help make it simple.
