6-cummins-89-93-system-with-rear-springs-and-hydro-shocks
6” Cummins lift kit 89-93 system with rear springs

6 inch lift kit for your cummins equipped 1st gen. Since it’s a “system” rather than a “kit”, it includes rear lift springs to replace the “kit” add-a-leaf and extra lift block in the rear. Includes shocks. Will require a drop pitman separately but we would recommend you combine that with our crossover steering kit. Otherwise extended brake lines are the only other extra option that will make it complete. Based on 89-93. Can be used for earlier trucks with the diesel swap with small mods, mostly spring eye bolt diameter. We have customization tips to make this lift look and perform better than delivered. Just send us an inquiry after purchase.

Questions from customers: I’ve got a 1991 Dodge w350 12v and need to lift 4” to clear some 35’s. I’d like to do some wheel spacers also for a little offset! Can you send me a list of what you recommend I buy to install? I don’t want to order anything wrong!

Answer: No problem. We can set you up, I would do our 6” leaf springs and recommend a mod, (remove the shim and at least the bottom shortest leaf from the pack, I personally would also remove the second shortest leaf as well, leaving a 3 leaf pack, that rides pretty soft but still gets near the lift you are looking for.) (often these trucks are heavy on the left front and if that is the case you could put that one shortest leaf back in the driver pack, even a shorter one just for spacing)

Next we often suggest our spring offset plate kit, including top u-bolt plates to move your axle 1” forward. This increases tire clearance where tire-to-fender contact is most sensitive to damage.

We have a u-bolt kit for this.

The compliment for this to work well is our front extended 1” shackles. This puts a 1/2” lift on whatever leaf pack they are added to and keep the spring from hitting the frame where they are very close.

The most important mod of all is a crossover steering kit with 4” pitman arm.

It is available with or without a new matching heavy duty tie rod with a couple steering stabilizer options.

We always recommend a steering box brace to protect your frame from cracking and stiffen things up, the crossover one is different than the one you would choose if you don’t do the crossover, but as I said, this is the most important mod.

When doing a crossover, it’s easy and convenient to add kingpin spring eliminators, very helpful for a good steering truck.

We have various shocks available for the approx 4ish inch lift.

Now to match all that front lift you have the opportunity to do the same in the rear and fine tune it to your truck.

We recommend a stock rear leaf.

(even softened up a little like the front, depending on your hauling goals. Softer for daily empty driving is best, and if you want the load carrying capacity back, an air helper system is perfect),

Along with a lift block and traction bar. This keeps the ride from being overly stiff and still controls spring wrap, while effectively transferring power to the ground.

We can make our lift block any height to level your front work, and it also has the ability to move the axle an inch rearward if necessary depending on the leaf setup used.

All that might sound like a lot for just a “lift kit”, but we have to modify all this stuff because no one made a lift kit of high quality back then for these trucks.

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0679/7171/1262/files/image_a6c3c554-7b04-4e2c-b993-9b2fe4e59db3.jpg?v=1780435721
https://platinumhpsolutions.myshopify.com/products/6-cummins-89-93-system-with-rear-springs-and-hydro-shocks
