Cold Air Intake Kit for 2012-2015 Chevy Camaro 3.6L V6 LFX
The 2012–2015 Camaro LS/LT 3.6L V6 LFX engine makes 323 horsepower from the factory — an improvement over the earlier LLT. But GM continued the same design philosophy as before: a sound-suppressing resonator airbox that prioritizes cabin quiet over airflow. The result remains the same — restricted throttle response and a muted induction note.
Flashark's cold air intake replaces the stock airbox with a mandrel-bent black powder-coated aluminum intake tube, a high-flow washable conical filter, and a full-coverage heat shield. On a stock LFX V6, expect 5–10 WHP and noticeably sharper throttle response in the 3,000–5,500 RPM band. The induction sound becomes deeper and more aggressive during acceleration, while cabin noise at cruise stays near factory levels.
Installation is bolt-on, using the Camaro's factory mounting points — no cutting, no welding, no permanent modification. Budget 60–90 minutes with basic hand tools. The LFX ECU automatically adapts to increased airflow, so no tune is required. For maximum gains, pair with exhaust headers and a performance tune.
