Flashark
Cold Air Intake for 2012-2015 Honda Civic Si / Acura ILX 2.4L
Flashark Cold Air Intake for 2012–2015 Honda Civic Si / 2013–2015 Acura ILX 2.4L K24Z7 — 76mm Aluminum, Dry Filter, No Tune Required
The K24Z7 is one of Honda's last great naturally aspirated engines — 201 hp, 7,000+ RPM redline, and the VTEC crack you feel at 5,000 RPM. But Honda shipped it with an airbox designed for quiet, not for flow. At high RPM, when VTEC engages and the engine's pulling hard, the factory intake becomes the bottleneck.
Flashark's 76mm cold air intake fixes it. A full-diameter mandrel-bent aluminum tube replaces the restrictive factory snorkel. The dry, reusable cone filter routes into the fender well — the coldest possible air source on the FB6/Civic Si chassis. The CNC-machined 76mm MAF housing is calibrated to match the factory ECU, so VTEC activation stays sharp and consistent at the stock crossover point. No check engine light. No tune. Just the intake sound and throttle response the K24 always deserved.
Installation runs about 60–90 minutes with basic hand tools. Every bracket, coupler, and clamp is spec'd for the FB6 chassis — no cutting, no drilling, no guesswork.
Key Features
- 76mm mandrel-bent aluminum intake tube — full-diameter, no step-downs; smooth interior walls, zero turbulence
- Dry high-flow cone filter — washable, reusable, no oil required; won't foul your MAF sensor; clean every 15,000–20,000 miles
- CNC-machined 76mm MAF housing — precision-bored to match K24Z7 factory MAF calibration; VTEC engagement stays clean, no CEL
- Fender-well cold air routing — pulls ambient air from inside the front fender, the coldest zone on the FB6 chassis; intake temps 15–20°F cooler than stock
- No tune required — plug-and-play with factory ECU; i-VTEC mapping reads correctly at all RPMs
- Optimized for VTEC crossover — improved airflow through the 4,500–5,000 RPM engagement window where the factory box chokes
- Bolt-on installation — all hardware included, OEM-spec mounting points; 60–90 minutes with basic hand tools
