What's the difference between an AV to RCA cord and a Multi Out to Component cord?

"Composite" and "component" connections are different.

Composite video uses a single yellow plug for the video signal, and red + white plugs for the audio (it looks like this). The yellow + white + red cables sometimes get called just "AV" or "RCA" cables. Component video cables use three plugs for the video (red + blue + green), plus the same red + white pair for audio (like your Amazon link).
