This kit is utilized in truck pulling and drag racing applications where the engines are operated in extreme RPM applications. The high RPM causes crankshaft wind-age mixed with oil vapor. This oil vapor can cause the the engine to "run away" causing serious damage, possible personal injury and even death. Many sanctioning bodies require this for competition use.
